hi write

I realized I hadn't blog a lot since I entered high school. To me blogging used to be the place where I express my self. A place where I can write whatever I want because no one read this blog except for my followers, which aren't huge (you can even call it micro) and most of them aren't even active anymore, and a place where I can tell craps about my life. Now, it's just another website that I remember when I'm not working on assignments or not thinking about the other gazillion things that I need to think about.
This may seem weird to some because what kind of shit can a 16 years old ordinary girl can think about.
Well, there's this thing called school where kids are given lots of assignments and are still expected to have a social life. And then there's choir and Versa Voices the place that I love as much as I love my family but sometimes can get pretty out of hand and annoying. Next is him which I don't know why the hell am I thinking about him since we're cool and still talking and all the stuff 2 people do as good friends. Guess you could blame it on the hormones, eh? These are the 3 things that I can remember now but trust me there are still a bunch of other things.
This is the only thing hat I need to get off my chest. I'll get back to you when I remember or when I'm free from whatever that is holding me back from this heaven on earth.

piles and times

-I am the new president of Grazia Vocalista
-Versa Voices got offered lots of jobs
-My grades have been great
-Assignments are piling up
-Many more

11th grade's been a blast. Everything is going marvelously but I'm not. I often feel tired and feel like I don't have enough time to relax because so much things are going on. Don't get me wrong. I love those things and I wouldn't want it to stop. But I haven't found the right way to manage all of this so it can be a little overwhelming sometimes.

Still thinking and trying lots of things to manage it. Hope to find the solution soon.

catch ups!

It has been months since I last posted here. My excuse : laziness. No more school excuses this time since 11th grade hasn't took up much of my time hehe. But choir and other things sure have.
Soooo what have this blog missed?
My new class is XI IPS 1 and they're full of dope people, my new chairmate is Tasya or as we like to cal her : Sabun, Grazia Vocalista has been amazing as always and oh, we're having our first ever concert in February (eep!), I'm a candidate for the head of GV, also in the sponsorship section for next year's HSC 34, am in a vocal ensemble called Versa Voices with 14 other GV alumnus and current members, and mylovelifehasbeengreatnoistilldon'thaveaboyfriendbutsomethingisgoingonughitscomplicated. And ooooh 34 2013 is going to Bali and Jogjakarta in December :D

Oh I forgot 1 little detail : I got in to Pottermore early :D :D :D :D :D

Lots of things have been going on and asdfghjklmnbvc I am just so excited(though I'm already feeling tired by all of it)for what will come this year!!

social-ers

Got my report papers 3 days ago and Alhamdulillah I pass and got into social class!! I'm soooo happy because I really wnna get in socials but I rarely succeed in geography. Thank God I pass geo and I'm qualified to be in social class :_____)
They're gonna announce which class are we gonna be placed and who are our classmates ob the 5th and 6th of July. Sadly I won't be here on that day so my mom's going to see it.
I'm really hoping that I can fo my best this year and have an awsome class as awesome ad Xenam Pagi <3
Speaking of Xenam Pagi, we had our farewell trip on 21st to 23rd of June in Puncak. It was amazing!! We laughed, cried, talked, and played like there's no tomorrow haha!
To top off this happy post : Grazia Vocalista won again!!! This time in Pancasila University Choir Festival. We won 1st place beating tough competitors like 13 High School and Tugu Ibu High School. We sang Pantang Mundur and Yamko Rambe Yamko. Aaaaah it wad fun and nerve wrecking since I lost my voice and haven't fully recovered by the the time competition began. I was afraid that my voice could ruin the team's performance. Again, thank God it didn't.
To end this marvelously happy post, I hope I can become a better person in every aspect of my life in this new acadrmic year. Amin :D

P.S. Sorry if there are lots of mispelled words. Am writing this from mom's phone hehe

dear dad

You annoy me, you embarrass me and you're always trying to be cool (but fail all the time).
But you understand me when mom didn't, you have this wide knowledge of cool things, and you often surprised me with wonderful things.
You're not perfect and you wont be perfect. but i love you though i never show you my affection.
Happy fathers day :)

finish and hope

Final exam week and remedial week are finally over! All we gotta do now is wait and pray.

To help us see which subjects that are still below the minimum score, school gave username and password to each student in my school so that we can see our current score in our soon to be given report book. The score are the one that the teachers put in the school's administration system. For me, I fail on geography. The minimum score is 75 and I got a close score of 72 point something. This is frustrating since I really really wanna go to social studies class and we must reach the minimum of 8 in economics, sociology, and geography.
Fortunately, I heard that if you fail in less than 3 subjects but the subjects are the one used to see which class would you be put in, we can still go to the next level but we will be put in social. OOOOO I hope this is true!!!
Pleeeease wish 34 2013 luck!!! I hope all of us can go to 11th grade THIS YEAR and got accepted to the best class for us. Amin.

down down down

Did my final exams and currently flunked on all science subjects, math, ENGLISH (shit), and civics. Science and math I could understand but English??? Gosh, I don't know what the heck is wrong. Is it me, is it the teachers, is it anything??? I've talked to my most trusted English teacher and she's shocked as well that I flunked. Sadly, she won't lowered the minimum score so I have to join remedial class on God-knows-when-the-date-is. Now civics. My text book's missing a couple of pages (which turned out to be the important pages) and I forgot to copy my friend's book so it was kinda my fault.
Other subjects' scores hasn't been posted yet and we still have to wait until Monday to see the results.
Speaking about Monday, I'll be having my chemistry remedial that day. Oh God all I want is to reach the minimum score for science and math w(;_;w)

Moving on to me. I've been so focused on my exams that I didn't even think of going out on Saturday nights or on my free time. And school's been super tiring with choir performance at graduation and completing tasks and lots of new tasks to be done before the exams. This made me use my spare time to sleep or just hanging out at home. Plus, no blockbuster movies=crappy movies at the cinema=me lying down on the sofa at home. So, social life's been a wreck.

Final thoughts and hopes : be an 11th grader this year (although I'm gonna miss X6 so much!), got in to social studies class, GET MORE ORGANIZED!!!!!, and just live my life to the fullest. Amin.

study, tests, and grad

Currently in the middle of the final exam but there are 3 days off in the middle of it because my school's being used in the SNMPTN test. My scores are quite good except for science and math of course haha what's shocking is English! I only got 72.5 T_T most students got lower scores than I did and for me, the teacher's answer is irrational.
And I sang at the 3rd grader's graduation on Sunday with Grazia Vocalista. Everything went well yada yada yada. Not in the mood for writing. AAAAAAAAA can't wait until the tests are finished I really need a getaway.

grazia vocalista at national edu day

Grazia Vocalista performed at National Education Day ceremony 2011 :D There are about 120 people there and we were all soooo excited! This was a very proud moment for my school because we haven't been asked to sing in the ceremony for 3 or 4 years and this year we got asked to sing again weeeeheeee.
We sang 5 songs which are Padamu Negri (sang when they gave out an award), Bangun Pemudi Pemuda, Indonesia Pusaka, Soleram, and Syukur (performed with the middle school choir). Sadly, the videos weren't that good since my teacher shot the performance and he paused the video to move place. Who the hell paused a video when recording something that only happened once? Stoops. Anyway, he managed to take Bangun Pemudi Pemuda performance from beginning to end so here it is. Enjoy!

royal wedding

Today Prince William and Kate Middleton got married. I couldn't watch the live show because of dance class but fortunately E! aired the rerun right after the live show and I was able to watch it from the beginning. The wedding was fit for a king but for me it was just okay. What made it special and touching was the way William and Kate looked at each other and how they sometimes accidentally get caught glancing at each other and they would smile, giggle and look away. I could feel from my couch in Asia that they really love each other and this marriage wasn't forced. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I love weddings <3

X-6 gathering

Yesterday my class, X-6, had a gathering at my house. It was fun! As a matter of fact it was super duper extremely tremendously marvelously fun!
We talked, laughed, screamed, ran, rode bikes, played badminton, talked, laughed, grilled. It was heavenly!
It got better when we surprised Aprey, who is having her birthday, with an ice cream cake.
Oh I can't describe how much fun we had last night. So, here are a few pictures courtesy of Arin :)

Some of them are using my sister's bike haha

exams and tests

Hi y'all! I've not been here for a while due to school, school and lastly school. I've just had my mid terms and of course the one thing every highschool-ers have in their life dictionary : remedial week. It's been tough! I already reread and learned a few weeks before the mid terms and to be honest I enjoyed the studying part and I was super excited about mid terms because I was so sure that I could nail it. But thennnnnnn it turned out that I didn't pass in 7 subjects. Shit.
So I did 7 remedial and it felt like I took the tests twice. Another shit. Thank God I nailed most of them while I still don't know the result of the rest.
Aaaaaand I had my reports on Thursday and I'm happy with it! It has been a major step up from last semester and my mom felt proud of me. As for my self, I felt that I could've done better. But hey! There are still 2 months before this school year end, right?
Another test that I'm about to have is the AFS selection test. AFS is a student exchange program that I joined. I returned the forms this morning and I'll have the selection test in May. A lot of students from my school joined this program selection. Psst, Amira is one of them! I hope both of us got to go Aminnnnn. Pleeeeeeease wish us luck :D :D

P.S. Good luck to all 12th graders in Indonesia in doing the National Exam starting tomorrow. Keep in mind what you've learned in 3 years and what you've learned in bimbel and stuffs. 34 2011, hope to see you all without exception in graduation (if I got chosen to sing in the choir)! Huehehehehe

quick trip

My computer had been upgraded for a couple of days so I hadn't been here for a while. While we're at the subject of my computer, have you noticed that my computer broke down/maintained/upgraded a lot? I think it's another way to say "MOM I WANT A BRAND NEW COMPUTER!" Okay let us hope for the best haha.
Anyway, I'm having a holiday for a week because the seniors are having their final exam from school. I'm super excited to get a break from school but at the same time a bit mad because when school starts again we'll have the mid term exams. Not much of a holiday, huh?
But still, I wanna have fun and I had fun! I went to Bogor and Puncak with a few girls from my class. The boys were originally going to come with us but because of a certain someone and a certain things they cancelled. It was still fun and it was a blast! And, none of us spend more than Rp 100.000,- (about $10) on this trip! Going on this trip made us feel closer to each other :_) Here are a couple of photos from the quick trip.

a bird replica in the zoology museum. looks so real, huh?

broke down on mini holiday

My computer broke down a few days ago so it had to be repaired so I've been computer-less for 3 days now. Can't do my religion presentation and I can't go to tumblr comfortably /sigh/.
Anyway, I have no school tomorrow because the 3rd graders will be having their 2nd national exam try out soooo I can sleep late today and I don't have to do any homeworks :D
Good luck for the try outs, seniors! I hope you all ace the tests and thanks for making us not going to school for 2 days heheh.

another choir competition

This time it was in Al-Azhar BSD. We encountered many problems for this competition starting with the lack of boys members, unfocused members, and maaaany other things. As I've told you before, this might be caused by the short period of time between one competition to another so it make us a bit bored and tired by the situation.
We did our best and we prayed and Alhamdulilllah we won first place! The sacrifices we made for this team were all worth it.
At first we were called as the 3rd winner but then the judges said that they made a mistake and it was SMAN 70 who were in 3rd. At that moment I thought the judges misread the paper and so we would in 4th place. We already accepted our loss when they announced the 2nd winner, which is SMAN 13 so when they called us as the 1st winner we were all shocked. We totally didn't expect to win because, as kak Kenar had said, the effort given for this competition wasn't the best we could give.
We were so shocked that a lot of the members cried. After that we sang 1 more time in front of the other competitors and held briefing. A shocking news came out from kak Kenar's mouth and that news made me forgot about our win for a split second but, I'm not gonna write it here here because it's too complicated hehe.
Anyway, maaaaajor thanks to the team, kak Kenar, and others who supported in any way they ould. I hope in the future Grazia Vocalista can keep up the good work and step it up a notch. Amin!

things from ecuador

Mom and the team got back on 1st of February 2011 and of course she bought lots of stuffs for me and my sisters. The things she bought me are amazing and not to mention cute!

This Ecuador t-shirt has a wool sticking out of it as hairs!

I could stuff in books and other school things in it and it'll stay soft and fluffy haha

Isn't this feather earrings just breathtaking?

An Indian print necklace. I love the vibrant colors!

A lego watch she bought in an airport in Amsterdam. Mine's actually the star wars one but my sister took that one and gave me this instead -_-

And this the one that I love the most, a dream catcher. Isn't this beautiful?

Seeing unique stuffs from another country is always fun. Aaaaaa I hope someday I can travel the world like mom, Amin!

my 'me' time

For a few months choir have been taking over my free time and it sucks. I love choir, I really do but we just finished a competition last month and now we're already extra practicing for another competition. I'm tired. I'm tired of always saying 'I can't go' to hang out with my friends because I have choir practice. I'm tired of being tired with this. And I'm sick of always waking up early on holidays to practice choir. Holidays are rare these days and now I have to sacrifice resting my mind body and soul for another 'work'. I know that if you do something you love it's not work. But if you keep doing it without rest it's not going to be fun anymore and that love will turn upside down.
I have talked about this with kak Ayu (current choir president) and a few of my friends and seniors and apparently they also thought that the length between one competition and another is waaaay too short and luckily kak Ayu also suggested that we have a break from competitions for a couple of months.
For me this is just too much. I wish I could tell them I wanna quit the team for this current competition, but I just don't have the heart to do it. We're already facing enough problems and I don't wanna be a burden to the team. It's a week to go but it feels like an eternity. I hope I can make it through and give my best to the team, Amin.

You made me feel worthless for a split second there. Fortunately I still have my common sense and thought that if I'm worthless I wouldn't be living right now.
I know you think that I don't know but the truth is I do know. You think I'm that stupid for not knowing but oh boy you're dead wrong.
Thanks for showing me that you are NOT the one. Thanks.

equatorial 4 lupus

Equatorial 4 Lupus is a project which consisted of woman aged 40-50 (or is it 30-40? Well it's grown ups and mostly moms) made by my mom and her friends to raise money for Yayasan Lupus Indonesia (Indonesian Lupus Foundation). This is the 3rd year they've been climbing mountains for this cause.
On the first year they went to Nepal (Himalaya), second year they went to Africa (mount Kilimanjaro), and this year they go to Ecuador. Sadly I forgot about the name of the mountain.
The team left today from Soekarno-Hatta Int'l Airport, Jakarta, and they'll be back approximately 1 February 2011.
Mom always go with this team and when she's back she always brought back a lot of cute local stuffs. For example when she got back from Nepal, she bought me a verrrry cute bag with a Nepal print on it and that's the bag I always wear.
And from Africa she gave me animal wooden necklaces and elephant t-shirts. Fyi, there's one more necklace but it's in mom's room and I lost the elephant t-shirt T_T
Anyway, I asked mom this year to buy me a dream catcher and lots of accessories because South American accessories are cute!
Pleeeease pray for the Equatorial 4 Lupus team and donate to Yayasan Lupus Indonesia. I can't find their website so you guys might want to call 108 (for Indonesian residents) and ask for a phone number or something -__-

like jet lagged

Today was the first day of school for the 2nd semester and as always, first day of school after a long holiday = jet lag. I am so used of sleeping at 3 a.m. and waking up at midday last night I can't sleep until midnight. To top it off I woke up late this morning but thank God I can bathed quickly hehe.
Oh yeah, I brought the Bulcup choir trophy and certificate and gave it to Pak Bona and met my supa dupa extremely cool class, X6 that I missed so so so much! Billa cut her hair and the guys have grown their hair and I think they didn't intend to cut it again.
Of course I automatically chatted with Amira and shared some gossips that we didn't get to share. Oh my God it's just so good to be surrounded by the class again. We studied today and we learned economics because of the new schedule! Gee I loooove this chapter of economics. And I also love the chapter we learned today in biology. I wonder why I didn't pass bio in my report papers :/
Anyway, new year, new materials to study, new opportunities to fix the mistakes I did last year.
Get ready for a whole new roller coaster ride!

2011!!!!
Happy New Year everybody :D

Spent new years eve and slept over in Eja's house with 34 2013 and we had loooooooads of fun. Gonna post pics tomorrow if I can squeeze in time :D
